Cave-Aged Cheddar, Green Tomato Chutney, Cheese Sables with Rosemary & Thyme
This pairing conjures memories of walking through a kitchen garden at the height of summer. These flavoured Cheese Sables are delicately perfumed with the herby aromas of Rosemary & Thyme, which go wonderfully well when liberally covered in Fortnum’s sweet, sharp Green Tomato Chutney. When topped with this strong, nutty Cave-Aged Cheddar. matured for over 15 months, this pairing is a standout classic if you ask me!
Elegant Rarebit, Fortnum’s Pickle, Fresh Bread
This Elegant Rarebit is indeed a toastable treat, slathered richly onto a toasted slice of fresh bread and grilled until sizzling and slightly crispy on top. Once done, you can indulge in its rich, warm flavours of melted cheese and smoked bacon. Serve with Fortnum’s Pickle that has the perfect balance of sweet and savoury, cutting the richness of the rarebit. This pairing hits the spot for a light lunch or dinner, washed down with a chilled, refreshing Fortnum’s English Ale.
