Green Tomato Chutney, 230g

Packed with wonderfully tangy and sweet green tomato flavours, our Green Tomato Chutney is surprisingly dippable and spreadable with everything.

Crafted from unripened red tomato varieties that don't mature in time for the harvest, our green tomato chutney rescues these underripe treasures from potential waste. Typically, the tomato harvesting season spans from June to October, and since tomato plants have a limited lifespan of approximately six months, they succumb to the first frost, rendering these green tomatoes unsuitable for immediate consumption.

Green tomatoes possess a unique firmness, bordering on a delightful crunchiness, making them the perfect candidates for chutney preparation. Their inherently tart flavour profile pairs harmoniously with muscovado and cane sugar, as well as a medley of apples, onions, and sultanas, contributing depth and sweetness to our recipe.

Each batch of our green tomato chutney undergoes a slow-cooking process in small quantities, meticulously prepared within our Wiltshire-based factory.
