We are pleased to announce that we are now able to deliver to Northern Ireland once again.

Due to further regulatory changes around deliveries to the EU, we have temporarily paused all shipping to the EU and European countries delivered through the EU.


Please note that we are currently experiencing a higher volume of emails than usual and our current response times are taking longer than expected. We will aim to respond to your enquiry as quickly as we can.

Deliveries are made Monday to Friday. Standard delivery takes up to 5 working days. Non perishable products including hampers and gifts boxes: £5.95 per delivery address.

Deliveries are made Monday to Sunday with 48 hours notice but are subject to availability - Named Day delivery slots are limited and any date may become fully booked without notice. All products including hampers and gift boxes: £7.95, per delivery address.

Owing to difficulties guaranteeing delivery on time, Named Day Delivery is not available for deliveries to Highland and Island addresses.

Due to the high number of orders we are currently packing, Named Day delivery is currently subject to availability, so please make sure to check the next available date selected during checkout.


Deliveries are made Monday to Friday but are subject to availability - Next Working Day delivery slots are limited and any date may become fully booked without notice. Orders must be placed by 6pm on weekdays and 2pm on weekends. Delivery to Northern Ireland is temporarily unavailable. All products including hampers and gift boxes: £9.95 per delivery address.

As soon as your order has been dispatched you will receive confirmation with tracking information. We also would strongly recommend you download the DPD app from the App Store or Google Play, as it is brilliant at keeping you informed as to the whereabouts of your order and your delivery driver, and allows you lots more control over the receipt of your goods.

You will also receive a notification on the evening prior to the day of delivery.


Special Delivery Arrangements


We are pleased to offer our fresh food range expertly packed and delivered to addresses within the M25.

Deliveries of fresh food are available from Monday to Sunday but are subject to availability. You can choose Named Day delivery or Next Working Day delivery as detailed above. Slots are limited and any date may become fully booked without notice.

Unfortunately, our fresh picnics are not available for Next Day Delivery. Delivery is available before 12pm 7 days a week. A member of our Customer Service Team will contact you to confirm a suitable delivery slot. Please order by 3pm to ensure 48 hour delivery.

Some of our food may be sent to you directly from our Piccadilly Food Halls and very occasionally we may find it best to send your order in more than one delivery. This is simply to ensure that your food reaches you in peak condition – there is no extra charge.

Please note we require 2 working days’ notice to amend or cancel fresh food orders.


Deliveries to BFPO addresses are free, unless otherwise specified.

Please note that parcels sent to Operation Telic and Herrick have a 2kg limit.

International deliveries may be subject to import duties, taxes and fees*. For orders placed on our website, we make every effort to include the applicable duty and tax, however there may be additional local duties and taxes that are out of Fortnum’s control that you may need to pay in order to receive the goods.

For items to be exported, the carriage charge covers packaging and delivery only.

*Delivery to US – Order up to $800 Fortnum’s gifts without incurring additional duty costs.

Customs may inspect goods prior to delivery, which may cause delays. Please provide a valid recipient telephone number to avoid any further delays. This number may be required by local customs and delivery agents.


Due to the impact of the coronavirus outbreak, delivery to the following regions is currently suspended:

Any orders overdue by more than 4 days will be put back to stock and we will contact you to arrange a refund of your order.

Please note, orders that contain fresh items must be collected on the specified collection date in order to ensure items are in peak condition. We are unable to refund fresh items that are out of date as a result of late collection.

Shop online at and have your purchases delivered to a convenient pick-up location near you for the same price as UK Standard Delivery to your home. Available at thousands of locations across the UK, to collect your order please bring a copy of your order confirmation and a form of photo ID, like your passport or driving license, featuring your current postal address. Any orders not collected within 7 days will be returned to Fortnum’s and your order will be refunded. Please note that Ship to Shop is not available on fresh items.


Multiple Address


To send your deliveries to multiple addresses, simply select 'send to multiple addresses' at the checkout and follow the instructions, we'll take care of the rest.



It is the policy of Fortnum & Mason to ensure that all goods are supplied to our customers in perfect condition and that every possible precaution is taken to protect the integrity of the product that is sold. If you are unhappy with your unused purchase please and wish to return your purchase, please email Customer Services at or call on +44 (0)20 7734 8040 with the order number quoted on the delivery note.

You will be given instructions about where to return the goods which must be made without undue delay and in any case within 14 days of notifying us. Alternatively, the goods can be returned to our store at: 181 Piccadilly, London W1A 1ER.

When the goods have been received and checked, a refund for the goods and the standard delivery charge (premium charges are not refundable) will be issued within 14 days. This means that you may be contacted for details as to how we can make repayment to you. Please note that returning the goods to us is your responsibility and we are not obliged to repay you for any costs that you have incurred in returning the products to us.

Fortnum & Mason, accept returns of all items except:

  • Perishable goods and other items likely to expire rapidly, this includes all flowers, fresh food, some alcohol and beverages, and hampers and gift boxes containing such items
  • Jewellery for pierced ears
  • Sealed items where the seal or cellophane has been broken
  • Personalised or bespoke items

Your statutory rights are not affected.


If you take delivery of a package from us and the contents have been damaged in transit, we will exchange the damaged items without charge to you provided you return the damaged item(s) to us within 30 days of taking delivery.


You have the right to return a faulty item within 30 days along with proof of purchase.


If we have sent you an incorrect item, please notify our Customer Services Department as soon as possible or within 30 days and return the incorrect item to us and specify the correct details in writing. If you would like us to replace the incorrect item with the item you ordered we will send you the correct item as soon as possible or alternatively we will refund the item once it has been returned. We will not charge you for the incorrect item and we must have the incorrect item returned before investigating.
