Founded in 1890 and situated in the heart of Haro, La Rioja Alta draws the best from its tradition and wisdom and combines it with the most modern winemaking technology.
Made from some of the winery’s oldest parcels in Briñas, Labastida and Villalba, this really is one of the best ever 890s, produced in an exceptional vintage.
Blending Tempranillo with 3% Graciano and 2% Mazuelo, it combines the grace and elegance of a great Musigny with the sweetness and balance of a classic Rioja. Scented, complex and very long, it’s unashamedly traditional and all the better for that. Drinkable now but will reward further patience.
Pairs perfectly with delicate dishes with mild sauces, lamb and meat stews. It is also the ideal after-dinner drink to accompany a cigar.
