Fortnum's Fleurie, Maison Piron, 75cl

Maison Piron is a renowned Beaujolais winery and a Fortnum’s partner for over thirty years. This historic estate is run by Julien Revillon after being passed on by his friend, 14th-generation winemaker Dominique Piron. With 50 hectares of vines across the Beaujolais region, including some of the highest vineyards in Fleurie. Traditional semi-carbonic fermentation and gentle extraction create beautifully perfumed and characterful wines. Our Fleurie is grown at 450m above sea level, in the shadow of the famous chapel La Madone, where old Gamay vines cling to steep, pink granite-rich slopes.

Tasting Note
Perfumed and silky, our Fleurie is a classic expression of this elegant cru. Chill it lightly to bring out the delicate notes of strawberry and raspberry and serve with lighter meats or cheese.
