Fortnum's Bordeaux Blanc Sec, Chateau Haut Rian, 75cl

A crisp, vivacious white wine, made from the classic Bordeaux white blend of Semillon and Sauvignon Blanc. The former – 60% of this blend – brings weight and texture to the wine, while the Sauvignon gives perfumes and flavours of grass, gooseberry and fresh lime zest. The wine is made for Fortnum’s by Château Haut-Rian in the Premières-Côtes-de-Bordeaux appellation on the right bank of the river Garonne. This will pair beautifully with oysters and other shellfish, or with salmon.
