Fortnum's Touraine Sauvignon Blanc, Joël Delaunay, 75cl

Domaine Joël Delaunay is a family-owned estate in the Touraine AOC. It comprises 34 hectares of vineyards farmed using sustainable practices. The vineyards are located on the bank of the Cher Valley 50km east of Tours, near the famous Château de Chenonceau. The soil is clay and silex, which lends the finished wine a lifted mineral freshness. Our Touraine Sauvignon Blanc has an expressive nose of grapefruit and lime with a hint of blackcurrant leaf. The palate is gentle with a bright and elegant character. Jasmine Hortop’s illustration is a French Impressionist inspired view of the Loire riverbank, with the river reflecting through the leaves. It aims to evoke the local scenery and the fresh, gentle flavours found in the wine.

An expressive but gentle Sauvignon Blanc with notes of lime, blackcurrant leaf and grapefruit. This mouthwatering wine is classy and delicious. Ideal with seafood, salads or on its own, any day of the week.
