Audemus Spirits Umami Gin, 70cl

Exclusive to Fortnum's, Audemus Spirits' Umami Gin is a fresh, ever so slightly savoury gin with an unparalleled flavour. The base of this spirit derives from South Italian capers, which have been vacuum-distilled at 45 degrees to capture their piquant, salty taste. The gin is then infused with a meticulous selection of ingredients including juniper, bergamot and a hint of parmesan cheese. Set to rest in an old cognac barrel for several months, the blend develops a roundness and depth of character before being lightly filtered and bottled.

Perfect in a Dry Martini and all savoury cocktails such as a Red Snapper, it will also taste delicious with a light tonic water garnished with some lemon zest or a sprig of rosemary.
