Duchess China holds a special place in British ceramics, and in our own story too. As the last historic fine bone china maker still working from its original Staffordshire factory, they’ve been crafting by hand in Longton since 1888. We’re proud to work with a team who remain masters of their craft, producing every piece on site using techniques refined over generations. Their hand painters are among the finest still practising today, keeping alive a skill once at the heart of Stoke-on-Trent. Their work brings lasting beauty to our Fortnum’s Stripe and Wild Garden collections.
