Fortnum's Toscana Rosso, Cortonesi, 75cl

Our Toscana Rosso is made by highly admired Tomasso Cortonesi, who runs his family farm 'La Mannella' in Montalcino, south of Sienna. He makes expressive Sangiovese which is vibrant and elegant with a clear Tuscan soul. Sourced from hillside vineyards in zones with clay and limestone soils, this Rosso Toscana is bright, approachable and immediately inviting, showing cherry, wild herbs and fine tannins. A classic, food-friendly wine that won't fail to impress, it would pair beautifully with tomato-based pasta dishes, or grilled meats. The beautiful label design by Jasmine Hortop uses the warm terracotta colours associated with this special part of Tuscany, contrasted with the cool green of the local cypress trees.

This joyful Tuscan Sangiovese from the hillsides south of Sienna is redolent with juicy berries, wild herbs and gentle tannins. Beautifully balanced and easy to love. Pair with ragu, grilled meats or roasted vegetables
