Fortnum's Rioja Reserva, Murua, 75cl

Bodegas Murua, located near the medieval village of Elciego in Rioja Alavesa, produces delicious wines that strike a lovely balance between classical and modern-styled Rioja. Our Reserva is a blend of Tempranillo and Graciano from the estate’s low-yielding vines grown on clay-limestone soils. It is aged in a combination of French and American oak for 20 months and then in bottle for four years before release.

Tasting Note
This is a brilliant expression of Rioja Reserva, deftly poised between classical and contemporary styles. Mulberry and damson fruit are enrobed by subtle toasty oak. It pairs beautifully with grilled lamb, pork or mushroom dishes.
