Fortnum's Claret Half Bottle, Château Le Bedat, 37.5cl

For nearly 75 years, the Fontana family have been making wines on the clay-limestone soils near the medieval village of Gensac, east of Saint-Émilion. A Fortnum’s partner since 2020, they produce this juicy Merlot exclusively for us; its silky tannins and notes of blackcurrant and blackberry offer a great introduction to the Right Bank style of Bordeaux. The label playfully reimagines the Fortnum & Mason clock as a château.
