Fortnum's Bourgogne Rouge Pinot Noir, Joseph Drouhin, 75cl

This delightful Burgundy – or Bourgogne, as the region now prefers to be called – is made by the Drouhin family, who have had a happy association with Fortnum’s for over 30 years. Pinot Noir grapes sourced from various appellations are hand-picked and aged in both stainless steel and barrel to ensure both fruitiness and complexity. The result is a fresh red with light, elegant tannins and lovely flavours of summer berries: raspberries, redcurrants, wild strawberries. A wonderfully versatile wine that pairs well with game, poultry and soft cheeses.
