Fortnum's Haut Médoc, Tours de Charmail, 75cl

Château Charmail, a Fortnum’s partner for 30 years, is located just outside Saint-Estèphe and its wines share many characteristics with that prestigious Left Bank appellation: they are deeply coloured, concentrated, with a clearly defined tannic backbone. This is their second wine, Les Tours de Charmail, a medium-bodied blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot with notes of spice, toasty oak, blackcurrant, blackberry and liquorice that will make an ideal match for a leg of Welsh lamb.
