There’s an art to serving up picky bits at a gathering - and fortunately for us, we’ve got Neil Ridley for our next Kitchen Stories instalment to teach us more. Neil is an award-winning professional drinks writer, broadcaster, consultant, host and presenter with over 15 years of experience in the food and drink industry – and we’re very excited to welcome him back to Fortnum’s!
He’ll be joining us to talk about his new book The Picky Bits Sommelier, featuring over 160 picky bits and 70 drinks for every occasion - from meat, fish and veggie and vegan snacks to alcoholic and non-alcoholic - as well as perfect picky bit and drink pairings. Our Food Behind the Pages series continues to deliver great guests - and this time, we’ve got the one and only author and TV chef Jeremy Pang joining us at Fortnum’s.
Jeremy will be joining us in store to talk more about his new book Jeremy Pang’s Chinese Kitchen, which is filled with step-by-step guides on preparation techniques, vital ingredients and the art of flavour balance, as well as over 80 irresistible traditional recipes. Dishes range from stir-fry favourites like Stir-fried Sichuan Chicken, classics such as Steamed Wontons in Chilli Broth and Sweet & Sour Pork, to indulgent meals like Succulent Crispy Chilli Beef.

Morgan McGlynn Carr is a leading UK cheese expert and owner of Cheeses of Muswell Hill, an award-winning independent cheese shop in North London, which she opened at the age of 19.
Morgan joins us in the Food & Drink Studio to share her favourite festive cheeseboard combinations. Guests will be given the opportunity to try several cheeses with suggested pairings, before deciding on three items to take home in a Mini-Huntsman Fortnum & Mason hamper.

Delicious History Tour

With a history stretching back over 300 years, Fortnum & Mason’s story is one full of surprises and endless intrigue. Join our archivist for a 90 minute-long tour of the building (with tastings) and hear the fascinating tales behind the nation’s favourite corner shop, ending in true Fortnum’s style with a cup of freshly brewed tea and a selection of nibbles.
Tours take place from 11am - 1pm and cost £60 per person. Why not make a day of it and book lunch or afternoon tea, too? Guests are asked to meet in our 5th floor lobby.
Our Delicious History tours welcome all visitors. However, please note that Fortnum’s is a large building with a lot of stairs, and the tour involves quite a bit of walking.
