Crafted as part of David Stewart’s pioneering experiments with French Pineau casks, this whisky’s journey is as unique as its flavour. Initially, the casks didn’t yield the anticipated results, leading David to create the French Oak 16 from a different Pineau source. However, this batch was left to mature further in the original casks—and after 8 years, Kelsey discovered it had transformed into something truly extraordinary.

The nose boasts a warm embrace of toasted oak and delicate spice, enriched with smooth butterscotch and whispers of ripe berries. On the palate, there’s a captivating interplay of rich sweetness and spice, layered with creamy vanilla and honey, finishing with soft, gentle oaky tannins.
