Anselmo Mendes Pardusco Vinho Verde Tinto, 75cl
Made from Alvarelhão, Pedral, and Cainho grapes, it is hand-harvested at peak ripeness, de-stemmed, and cold-macerated before undergoing a long, controlled fermentation at low temperatures. A complete malolactic fermentation adds roundness while preserving its vibrant character.
Pale ruby in colour, it opens with aromas of ripe red berries and a subtle mineral note. Bright acidity and a delicate structure make it a versatile pairing for cured cheeses and white meats like duck or turkey. Best served slightly chilled.
Please note, this product contains the allergen sulphites.

What To Drink with Helen McGinn
Best-selling author, wine writer and broadcaster Helen McGinn, aka @knackeredmother, has curated a hand-picked selection her favourite bottles from our very own cellars, and this delightful bottle is included.
“When Fortnum’s asked if I’d like to collaborate on some wine selections I wondered if I might be dreaming. Seriously – I’ve loved the Fortnum’s wine shop for years, often finding an excuse to wander the aisles in the name of research. A real hidden gem, the choice of wines is surprisingly eclectic.”
Why Helen loves this bottle…
“When the sun is shining and the right food calls for it, a chillable red makes for a refreshing change. This relatively rare Portuguese red from Vinho Verde works perfectly when popped in the ice bucket, bringing out snappy cherry fruit flavours.”
