Soalheiro are in the heart of Alvarinho territory in the northern Vinho Verde. The town of Melgaço, on the Minho river, is protected by mountains and provides the perfect climate to produce high-quality wines.

Made in an uncomplicated manner, Soalheiro’s Alvarinho Classico is the benchmark for this variety. Consistently top quality, it always displays great ripeness and purity of fruit, alongside refreshing acidity and crisp minerality. The sunny location brings out tropicality in the wine’s flavours, just a hint of richness and weight come from careful vineyard and winery management. Finally, the granitic soils of the region provide acidic freshness and texture, resulting in superb balance and lasting perfection.

Perfectly suited to a sunny afternoon, this elegant wine is superb as an aperitif before dining or paired with salads. Particularly good with seafood, or sipped alongside lighter poultry dishes.
