Every Crumb Tells a Sustainable Story.
Around 95% of our biscuits are baked here in the UK, while the remaining 5% are iconic creations and lesser-known favourites crafted by local artisans in France and Italy. But wherever their journey began, one thing is true for every biscuit: all roads lead to your teatime cuppa.
Sourced from a British farm practising regenerative agriculture and milled in the UK using 100% renewable energy.
Certified carbon neutral by The Carbon Trust, with emissions independently measured, reduced where possible, and offset too.
Sourced from a French farms practising regenerative agriculture, our ongoing transition from cane to beet sugar means we can reduce the amount of energy it takes to make each Fortnum’s biscuit.

After initially working as an arts and crafts teacher, Janet studied at The Open College of the Arts in 2001, before moving on to the Leith School of Art – and today, we’re delighted to be showcasing her bold and arresting work on the most perfect canvas we can imagine: our new collection of Shortbread Biscuit tins.
