Gutter & Stars was founded in 2020 after the opportunity arose to establish a winery in the basement of a Grade II-listed windmill less than a mile from the centre of Cambridge. Founder and winemaker Chris Wilson began his career as a music and newspaper journalist before discovering a passion for wine. After graduating from Plumpton College with a degree in winemaking in 2010, he gained experience in wine regions around the world, including California's Napa Valley, Germany and East Sussex, before founding Gutter & Stars.

Crafted from hand-picked Chardonnay grown in Essex's Crouch Valley, this elegant English white was fermented and matured in French oak before further ageing in bottle. Layers of orchard fruit, white peach, gentle spice and bright citrus acidity are balanced by subtle oak, creating a wine with excellent ageing potential. Unfined, unfiltered and vegan-friendly.
