The Hoptimist Gin, 70cl

The Hoptimist is a unique gin that draws inspiration from the world of craft brewing. It incorporates nine Kent-grown hops, sourced from the Hop Garden of England, along with a variety of other botanicals commonly used in craft beers. This combination creates a gin that captures the essence of Kent and offers a distinct flavour profile.

The gin is citrus forward, with a prominent lime flavour that adds a refreshing twist. The botanical lineup includes juniper, fresh Kaffir lime leaves, cardamom, cubebs, Curaçao bitter orange peel, coriander, fresh lime zest, and orris root. Each botanical contributes to the overall character of the gin, adding layers of aroma and taste.

The Hoptimist may undergo a process called louching, which causes it to become cloudy when ice or cold tonic water is added. This is due to the presence of insoluble botanical oils that are left unfiltered during the natural production process. Louching is a normal occurrence and doesn't affect the quality or taste of the gin.
