Salt River Sauvignon Blanc, Duncan Savage, 75cl
The Sauvignon Blanc is fermented in a combination of stainless steel tanks, concrete eggs and old barrels. The wine spends four months on lees before being bottled, followed by a further two months in bottle prior to release. It boasts flavours of orange blossom and grapefruit with lovely mineral tension and a fresh saline finish. While Salt River Sauvignon Blanc will age beautifully in bottle over the next few years, it’s also ideal for enjoying straight away.
Please note, this product contains the allergen sulphites.

What To Drink with Helen McGinn
Best-selling author, wine writer and broadcaster Helen McGinn, aka @knackeredmother, has curated a hand-picked selection her favourite bottles from our very own cellars, and this delightful bottle is included.
“When Fortnum’s asked if I’d like to collaborate on some wine selections I wondered if I might be dreaming. Seriously – I’ve loved the Fortnum’s wine shop for years, often finding an excuse to wander the aisles in the name of research. A real hidden gem, the choice of wines is surprisingly eclectic.”
Why Helen loves this bottle…
“Named after an area in Cape Town where winemaker Duncan Savage runs his urban winery, this incredible Sauvignon Blanc is made from grapes sourced from old bush vines around the famous Stellenbosch region."
