Fortnum's Single Vineyard Mendoza Malbec, Pulenta, 75cl

This rich red from the Pulenta Estate’s La Zulema vineyard, 980 metres above sea level, is an elegant, beautifully balanced example of Argentina’s signature grape, Malbec, from the Uco Valley in Mendoza. Harvesting is by hand, followed by ageing in French oak followed by two years in bottle, an extended process that gives finesse and complexity to the wine. Fewer than 5000 bottles are produced, exclusively for Fortnum’s. This will make a lovely match for richer meats such as duck, goose or pork; it would also work well with Puy lentils.
