Pelaverga Arnaldo Rivera, 75cl

Produced by Arnaldo Rivera in the Verduno commune of Piedmont, this wine is made from the rare Pelaverga grape, grown in clay-rich soils flecked with gypsum crystals. The grapes are hand-harvested, fermented and macerated in stainless steel at controlled temperatures, with spontaneous malolactic fermentation and six months’ ageing in tank to preserve purity. Bright ruby in colour, it offers an expressive nose of wild strawberries, floral notes and the grape’s hallmark white pepper spice. The palate is fresh, delicate and finely structured, with excellent balance and a gently savoury finish. Elegant and distinctive, it pairs beautifully with beef carpaccio, rocket salad and a drizzle of balsamic vinegar.
