Crafted by Heidi Schröck & Söhne in Rust, Burgenland, Junge Löwe is a vibrant blend of Blaufränkisch and St. Laurent sourced from sustainably farmed vineyards overlooking Lake Neusiedl. Hand-harvested fruit is fermented separately, with Blaufränkisch in stainless steel and St. Laurent in open fermenters, before ageing in large, seasoned Austrian oak barrels. The wines are blended after eight months to preserve freshness and varietal character. Ruby red in colour, it shows aromas of raspberry, black pepper and violets. The palate is medium-bodied and elegant, with smooth tannins, lively acidity and a refined finish. A versatile, modern Austrian red ideal for charcuterie, roast poultry or lightly spiced dishes.
