It’s been a delicious few weeks here at Fortnum’s, and it’s not over yet.
Delighting us with world-famous cakes, cookies and brownies alongside the almighty Bertha and our very own Knickerbocker Glory Pie, the brilliantly bold Leeds-based bakery GET BAKED is resident on our ground floor patisserie counter in our flagship Piccadilly store.
Known across the world for its almighty ‘Bruce’ cake, a decadent, 24-layer cake of dark chocolate ganache, GET BAKED have unveiled the even sweeter successor to its most famous creation: the ‘Bertha’, towering just as tall as the ‘Bruce’, but this time boasting a mouthwatering mix of milk and dark chocolate.
We’ll be serving up slices of GET BAKED’s delicious creations from our patisserie counter until 17th October 2024, so, make haste to Piccadilly! Arriving with an empty stomach is advised.

Calling all sweet tooths out there! A very special guest will be joining us in store for an event nothing short of mouthwatering. GET BAKED, founded by Rich Myers, are known for their utterly indulgent and unique desserts, and have amassed a sizable global following of cake enthusiasts. They are particularly known for their signature ‘Bruce’ cake, a 24-layer chocolate cake weighing in at over 1kg a slice and even sweeter successor the ‘Bertha’.
For this event, you will meet founder Rich and discover the story behind GET BAKED, you’re also guaranteed a slice of the ‘Bertha’. There will also be the opportunity to purchase their brand new book GET BAKED, a sensational cookbook bringing you 40 of their most popular creations, written in Rich’s trademark style.
