Fortnum's Western Cape Chenin Blanc, Warwick Estate, 75cl

A versatile Chenin Blanc from the historic Warwick Estate in South Africa’s Western Cape, set against the breathtaking backdrop of Simonsberg Mountain. Founded in 1964 by the Ratcliffe family, Warwick is notable for Norma Ratcliffe, one of the Cape’s first female winemakers. Her lasting impact on the South African wine industry was recognised in 2015 when she was awarded the 1659 Medal of Honour, an accolade previously given to Nelson Mandela and other notable leaders. Our Chenin Blanc shows bright orchard fruit, citrus, and honey, with a lively freshness that pairs beautifully with seafood, Asian dishes, or creamy cheeses. The ostrich on the label is a playful nod to South Africa, with the plumage in a spectrum of cool and warm tones, mirroring the freshness and ripeness of South Africa's signature white grape variety.
