Fortnum’s secret toffee recipe takes simple ingredients and turns them into something very special indeed. One piece has the distinctive strong, slightly bitter taste of fine treacle, while the other is made with soft, mellow, buttery toffee.
Handmade in copper pans the old-fashioned way, the cooled toffee is then hammer-smashed into irregular shapes which simply ooze with flavour.
