Fortnum's Stellenbosch Red, Meerlust, 75cl

Meerlust Estate is one of South Africa’s most historic wineries. It has been in the Myburgh family since 1756. Located 15km south of Stellenbosch near False Bay, its maritime climate and decomposed granite-clay soils produce wines of elegance, structure and longevity. Meerlust helped pioneer Stellenbosch’s world-class Bordeaux blends, most famously Rubicon. Our Stellenbosch Red is a classy Cabernet-Merlot in an approachable style: polished and generous with fine tannins.

Tasting Note
Our Stellenbosch Estate Red is typical of Meerlust's well-deserved reputation for Bordeaux blends. An impressive, youthful wine with bags of character. Luscious notes of crushed black fruit, cassis, vanilla and dark chocolate, silky tannins and lovely freshness on the finish.
