Achaval-Ferrer is among Argentina’s most admired producers, founded in 1998 in the high-altitude vineyards of Mendoza’s Luján de Cuyo and Uco Valley. From its inception, the winery was driven by a commitment to terroir expression, low yields and meticulous vineyard work on old vines, a philosophy that helped its single-vineyard Malbecs achieve international acclaim. Modern stewardship under winemaker Gustavo Rearte maintains minimal intervention in the cellar, using wild yeasts and a careful use of French oak to support fruit and texture. Our Mendoza Malbec has a lovely plush blackberry character, lifted by floral aromatics. It is an easy-going, supple Malbec that has beautiful freshness and fine tannins.
