Fortnum’s White Burgundy Half Bottle, Les Vins Aujoux, 37.5cl

Les Vins Aujoux is a historic Beaujolais-Mâconnais négociant house founded in 1938, with a long tradition of sourcing quality fruit from trusted growers. Their small team is headed up by the affable and talented Jean-Marc Darbon who has blended this White Burgundy exclusively for Fortnum's. It displays crisp citrus and orchard fruit, subtle minerality and fine texture from a little oak ageing, making it a versatile every-day wine with a classic Burgundy character. Jasmine Hortop's illustration displays a familiar Fortnum's character. The lobster is seen sporting a French beret, rather than a top-hat, as a nod to the wine's origins.

Tasting Note
Elegant and refined, our White Burgundy displays ripe orchard fruits, lemon and subtle hazelnut notes. It is a quintessential Chardonnay from the Mâconnais in southern Burgundy – perfect with roast chicken, seafood or fine cheeses.
