Fortnum's Gavi Terrarossa, La Zerba, 75cl

The finest expressions of the white Cortese variety are found around the town of Gavi in southern Piedmont. This one is made by La Zerba, a Fortnum’s partner since 2013, from organic vines planted at the highest point in the Gavi DOCG (the most prestigious designation for an Italian wine region), and is a fragrant, alluring wine with delicate notes of Amalfi lemons, tangerines, and acacia and a lightly nutty finish. It will make a superb match for sushi, grilled fish or seafood risotto.
