Fortnum's Crozes Hermitage, Domaine Fayolle, 75cl

Laurent Fayolle and his sister Céline Nodin are the sixth generation of their family to make wine in this historic part of the Rhône Valley. Their 13 hectares are now farmed organically and the low yields from their Syrah vines, which are over 40 years old, make this Crozes-Hermitage a concentrated wine, rich and spicy, with notes of black fruit, pepper and leather, and tremendous depth. It will make an ideal match for duck or lamb.
