Made to a traditional French recipe from Fortnum's Chocolatier, our Dark Chocolate Griottes are handmade in England from Kentish Morello cherries. Each Griotte is steeped in brandy for a minimum of three years before it is dipped in fondant sugar and decadent dark chocolate. Double-dipped in chocolate by hand, the cherries are left to stand for six weeks. Once tested, each Griotte is then hand-wrapped in foil and left to stand for another six weeks. The melting alcohol becomes a delicious, boozy syrup that brings a sensational flavour to the cherries.
