The 2012 Château Fonroque is a blend of 85% Merlot and 15% Cabernet Franc. It’s aged in 30% new oak barrels and 70% one-year old barrels and older. This wine offers up delicious flavours of black cherries and blackcurrants, with subtle loamy, earthy undertones, and medium to full-bodied texture, sweet tannins and a long finish, round of this delightful wine. Pairs perfectly with roasted red meat or game dishes, for example, quail stuffed with foie gras.
