Château de Pez, 2018, 75cl

One of the oldest wine estates in Bordeaux, Château de Pez has been quietly producing exceptional wines from the heart of Saint-Estèphe for centuries. This 2018 vintage is a bold yet balanced expression of the region, blending Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and other classic Bordeaux grapes. On the nose, there’s ripe blackberries, cherries, dark tobacco and liquorice, with floral hints of peony. The palate is medium-bodied and polished, with fine tannins, bright acidity and flavours of fresh blackcurrant and violet. It’s a Cru Classé that’s every bit as elegant as it is expressive - a wonderful match for a roast or a proper cheese board.
