Our Almond Chocolate Brownies
Our Explosive Brownies
Calling all those sweet of tooth: something new and extraordinary has arrived at our famous food hall.
From our days selling creamy cocoa paste in the 1800s to the amphitheatre of indulgent truffles and chocolates at our Piccadilly home, Fortnum’s has always been a wonderland of extraordinary sweet things.
And now, we’re excited to share our gorgeously gooey and utterly delicious Chocolate Almond Brownies - which have been created by the Devon-based and flavour-obsessed Exploding Bakery.
Find out more about our new brownies, as well as the story of the Exploding Bakery and their brand new book: Bake It, Slice It, Eat It. And then, once you’ve wiped the drool from your lips, treat yourself to some of these tasty creations.

Meet Our Brownies
Handmade in small batches by the Exploding Bakery, our irresistibly fudgey, delightfully gooey and totally nutty brownies are rich with extraordinary ingredients. A gift that would leave every sweet tooth in your life satisfied, they are made using the finest Colombian cacao, creamy Cornish butter and a dash of Welsh sea salt to deliver a mouth-watering, truffle-like taste.
The Bakery Bursting with Flavour
The Exploding Bakery is, in its own words, a “little volcano of baking” that is constantly erupting with ideas and recipes. They are dedicated to sourcing their ingredients ethically, with its suppliers stretching from the St Ewe Free Range Eggs farm in Cornwall all the way to Colombia, where it sources its chocolate from the Colombian family owned chocolate manufacturer Luker Chocolate.
If you’d like to know more about what goes into creating one of its extraordinary brownies, why not bake your own? You can find its recipes here, taken from the pages of their book Bake It, Slice It, Eat It.
