Green Tea Notes #1 | Japanese Sencha
DRINK
Japanese Sencha Tea Notes
This springtime ‘first flush’ Sencha is from Kagoshima in Japan – a region famed for its fertile volcanic soils.
Sencha translates as ‘steamed tea’ – which is the process by which Sencha is made – and has a fresh aroma, reminiscent of freshly cut grass, a dark glossy green leaf and is traditionally served in a Clay Kyusu.
