Cheese & Pear Toasted Sandwich with Fortnum’s Dorset Brie
An irresistibly cheesy sandwich that's toasted and finished with a fruity touch that is perfect for all toastie lovers.

Ingredients
Makes 1
60-80g Fortnum’s Dorset Brie
2 slices sourdough bread
Knob of butter at room temperature
30g cheddar, such as Fortnum’s Somerset Reserve Cheddar, grated
1⁄2 a pear (or apple), cut into slices
How to Cook
STEP 1
Slice the brie into 0.5cm slices.
STEP 2
Preheat a toasted sandwich maker if you have one, or warm a frying pan over a medium heat.
STEP 3
Butter both sides of the bread, then spread a thin layer of the chutney on what will be the base of the sandwich. Layer the brie, pear and cheddar on top.
STEP 4
Place the second piece of bread over the ingredients then put in the warmed pan or sandwich maker. Cook until golden brown and bubbling, flipping halfway through if frying in a pan.
STEP 5
Serve hot.
