Best of British

A Journey Across the British Isles
We champion small British businesses and agriculture. We are, after all, a corner shop and many of our products, where possible are loving made locally, using sustainably sourced ingredients. From our signature preserves to our locally sourced fresh produce, we love to celebrate the four corners of this beautiful land and the extraordinary food it has to offer.
From the shores of Truro in Cornwall to Taynuilt in the depths of Scotland, we work with numerous British suppliers, who practice traditional and artisan methods of craft and production, celebrating the skills that have been honoured over many years.
FRESH FOOD HIGHLIGHTS

Glenarm Beef
Exclusive to Fortnum’s, our Glenarm Beef is hand-selected from the Glenarm Estate in Northern Ireland.
It is dry-aged between 28-42 days in an authentic Himalayan salt chamber, which is made from more than 1,000 hand-cut bricks of salt, which purifies the air. This produces a sweet, tender and intensely marbled meat.

Welsh Rarebit
Bring a little Fortnum’s history home with this incredibly decadent potted jar.
Our Welsh Rarebit is the ultimate lunch, supper or midnight feast creation. Made to the exact recipe that’s been used at Fortnum’s for decades – cheddar cheese mixed with mustard, Worcestershire sauce, a whole egg and a drop of Fortnum's Ale.

Smoked Fish
Produced by hand at every stage - from selection and grading to hand filleting and salting.
Our salmon is smoked in traditional smokeboxes with fires that are constantly burning for between 24 and 72 hours over British Oak, conjuring a delicate taste that’s as tempting at breakfast as it is at supper, or indeed, simply with a glass a Champagne.
FROM THE WORLD'S SWEETEST CORNER SHOP

Honey Collection
From the beehives of Long Mynd in Shropshire to the colonies of Isle of Purbeck, our collection of honeys certainly puts the ever-so-clever British bee on the map. Deliciously sweet, each jar is unique and the flavour profiles are nothing short of astonishing. A breakfast delight.

Handmade Chocolates
Our Handmade English Chocolates are created exclusively for Fortnum’s in Brighton. Made entirely by hand, these chocolates have been lovingly mixed, poured and coated to a unique recipe unchanged since the 1920s. After all, you can’t improve on perfection…

Rose Petal Jelly
Fresh, floral and oh-so English, our famous Rose Petal Jelly is a pure distillation of the Oxfordshire garden where we grow and pick our roses. The petals are handpicked on evening in June when they are at their most fragrant. Try it on toast, on scones, in a Victoria Sponge or in a cocktail.
AFTERNOON TEA AT HOME

English Mint Infusion
Our English Mint Infusion, made from Black Mitcham, last seen in England over a century ago, is now grown especially for Fortnum’s on the Mashanger Estate. Each summer the mint is distilled to release its essential oil, which is left to mellow for three years. The freshly harvested leaves are then dried and steeped in the oil for a double burst of classic icy mint flavour.

County Biscuits
We stretched our search for uniquely British flavours from the bottom to the top of the map when creating our new County Biscuits. Gathering stories along the way and drawing from local folklore, each traditional biscuit has a tale to tell – from the Red Rose of Lancashire to the Mermaid of Padstow. Take a delicious tour of four British counties with our ever-so-English biscuits.

Cold Brew Tea Liqueur
Exclusive to Fortnum's and in collaboration with Dorset's Conker Spirit Distillery, meet the world's first cold brew tea liqueur. Delicately handcrafted and blended with our signature Countess Grey tea. Complex and intricate, with bergamot and orange notes in every sip, it’s delicious in a champagne cocktail, served long with soda, or simply over ice as an after-dinner tipple.
HOMEGROWN SPIRIT

London White Rum
Hand crafted in small batches from Jamaican molasses, this deliciously tropical off-dry rum is distilled, blended, bottled and labelled by hand in London – Just a few miles from 181 Piccadilly. Perfectly balanced, with aromatic notes of pineapple, coconut and delicate flavours of tropical fruits. Its fresh herbal finish is perfect for making classic white rum cocktails.

Honey & Violet Gin
This one-of-a-kind spirit is created exclusively for Fortnum’s by the Old Curiosity Distillery in Edinburgh. Infused with the honey and violets grown in our Piccadilly rooftop hives and gardens. Blended with nine wild, indigenous British botanicals, this unique gin is subtly sweet and balanced by savoury notes and bright juniper, with roots of wood aven adding a warming spice.

English Sparkling Wine
This outstanding English Sparkling Wine is a fine example produced by Camel Valley. Nestled in the heart of the Cornish countryside on the sun-drenched slopes of the Camel Valley, each sip is filled with elegant fruit aromas. Subtle flavours developed in the vineyard are retained, creating a fizz packed with crisp vibrant acidity, with a delicate apple fruit finish.
