Fortnum & Mason Introduces a New Botanical Blends Collection for the New Year
January, London, 2026
Iconic British retailer Fortnum & Mason expands its famous Tea offering with the launch of a new five-strong Wellness Botanical Blends collection (£9.95), exclusive to the store and now available to purchase.
The botanical infusions range builds on Fortnum’s long-standing expertise in sourcing and blending, applying the same care and craft that have underpinned its tea offering for more than three centuries. The range has been created in partnership with Chelsea Physic Garden, the only botanic garden in London devoted to the study and propagation of medicinal, herbal - and some would say, magical – plants.
Blended and packed in the UK, the collection uses all-natural ingredients selected for their symbolism and traditional use and is presented in recyclable card packaging with compostable soilon teabags. Each carton contains 15 envelope-wrapped silk teabags and is designed to be served without milk, at any time of day.
The Wellness Botanical Blends Collection

Buyer’s tasting notes: Strong raspberry flavour with warm base notes of rose and cinnamon.
Key ingredients: Raspberry (39%), rose petals (25%), hibiscus (18%), marshmallow root and flower, cinnamon, lady’s mantle, plantain leaf.
PROTECT Botanical Blend (£9.95/37.5g)
Inspired by botanical folklore, this berry-led blend features angelica root (Angelica archangelica), traditionally carried as a protective charm to ward off unwelcome spirits. Sea buckthorn and blackberries complete a blend rooted in centuries of herbal symbolism.
Buyer’s tasting notes: Soothing berry.
Key ingredients: Sea buckthorn (26%), blackberries (20%), bilberry, hibiscus, elderberries, echinacea herb, juniper berries, angelica root, tulsi, cloves.
CLEANSE Botanical Blend (£9.95/30g)
A bracing blend of peppermint, fennel and nettle, inspired by botanicals long used in traditional herbal rituals. Fresh and aromatic, this clarifying infusion offers a moment of pause - helping you feel grounded and rebalanced through the act of brewing.
Buyer’s tasting notes: Clean menthol and aniseed.
Key ingredients: Peppermint (50%), fennel, nettle, aniseed, coriander seeds, cardamom, sage.
VIGOR Botanical Blend (£9.95/30g)
Inspired by botanicals long celebrated for their association with strength and bravery, this bold blend pairs black tea with warming spices and fruit. Yarrow (Achillea millefolium), named after the Greek hero Achilles, was traditionally linked to courage on the battlefield, while ginger and chilli have featured in energising infusions across cultures for centuries.
Buyer’s tasting notes: Clean menthol and aniseed.
Key ingredients: Black tea (35%), apple (20%), ginger (20%), liquorice root, marigold petals, cinnamon, thyme, turmeric, black pepper, chilli flakes, yarrow flowers.
CALM Botanical Blend (£9.95/30g)
Drawing on botanicals with a long history in nighttime and restorative rituals, this gentle blend reflects centuries of traditional use. Camomile was once believed to ward off nightmares and has been relied upon since ancient times for moments of quiet and reflection, alongside linden flowers and lemon verbena; plants steeped in European herbal lore.
Buyer’s tasting notes: Very gentle and mellow.
Key ingredients: Camomile (40%), linden flowers (25%), lemon verbena (23%), lemongrass, passion flower, valerian root, lavender flowers, St John’s Wort.
Otillie Cunningham, Tea Buyer at Fortnum’s, says: “The start of the year naturally invites moments of reflection and renewal, and we wanted this collection to feel like a gentle companion to that mindset. Our Wellness Botanical Blends are rooted in ritual rather than rules - thoughtfully crafted infusions that encourage balance, pause and pleasure throughout the day.
Working with Chelsea Physic Garden allowed us to explore botanicals with rich heritage and symbolism, blending them with the same care and expertise that defines our teas. We were also deeply inspired by the exquisite illustrations of the Garden’s Florilegium Society - extracts of which feature on our packaging - bringing centuries of botanical artistry into modern tea rituals.”
The full range of Botanical Blends collection is priced at £9.95/30g or 37.5g carton and is available from Fortnum & Mason’s Piccadilly flagship store on the Ground Floor, and online at fortnumandmason.com.
