Panizzi Vernaccia di San Gimignano, 75cl

Panizzi has been producing Vernaccia di San Gimignano since its first harvest in 1989, sourcing fruit from four carefully selected vineyards around the historic Tuscan town. Hand-harvested grapes are gently pressed and fermented in stainless steel at cool temperatures, before ageing on the lees for five months to build texture and complexity. Pale straw in colour, the wine shows fragrant aromas of spring flowers, green apple and pear. The palate is crisp and mineral, with notes of white peach and grapefruit, finishing with the characteristic gentle bitterness of the appellation. Excellent as an aperitif, it pairs beautifully with vegetable tempura, fish, white meats and fresh cheeses.
