Old Farmhouse Brewery Cwrw Kelp Lager, 50cl

This lager is inspired by the outstanding coastal landscape surrounding St. Davids peninsula in the heart of Pembrokeshire Coast National Park. This exciting collaboration with “Car-y-Môr”, Wales’ first community-owned regenerative ocean farm, which grows seaweed and shellfish off the coast of St. Davids, brings Sugar Kelp into the brewery where they can continue with their ethos of sustainably crafting beers with passion using their own spring water. The tettnang hops and Maris Otter malt the barley with the addition of sugar kelp seaweed to give this pale gold, hazy pilsner lager a clean, crisp taste that’s refreshingly smooth and easy to drink.

This crisp and refreshing beer is complementary to lighter dishes and also has an affinity with salty foods such as lobster and scallops, citrus salads, pizza and barbeque meats.

Mark and Emma, founders of Old Farmhouse Brewery, have been brought up on family farms in the area and shared a passion for farming sustainably, conserving the landscape whilst growing a business in a way that will allow their children to also enjoy and appreciate the land of their forefathers.
