Friends of Fortnum's Terms & Conditions
These Terms and Conditions govern the Friends of Fortnum’s membership programme operated by us, Fortnum & Mason Plc, and made available to you, the customer. These terms and conditions are applicable to your subscription to our membership services (each a “Membership” and collectively, the “Memberships”). Please read them carefully before subscribing to a Membership as you will be deemed to be bound by them. Additional terms and conditions may also apply for optional member benefits such as competitions and prize draws.

Membership Terms
By subscribing to a Membership, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. These Terms & Conditions include all documents referred to on this page (this includes our our Website Terms and our Terms and Conditions of Sale, Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy.) and any other policies or terms referred herein or therein and any updates, amendments or revisions to such documents. If you do not wish to be bound by these Terms and Conditions, then you are not authorised to subscribe to any Membership and you must not complete the subscription transaction.
How we will communicate with you
As a member you'll receive communications relating to your membership through various channels which can include post and email. You can choose to leave Friends of Fortnum’s at any time by cancelling your membership in the My Account section of your online profile. This will remove you from any future loyalty communications as we will be unable to deliver rewards and benefits to you. By leaving the scheme, this won’t affect your existing marketing preferences, which are separate.

We may give you notices relating to these terms by posting it on the website or via an email address registered to your account.
Membership requirements
To activate a Membership with us, you must:
- Have a registered online account on www.fortnumandmason.com to purchase a Membership. Membership can be managed in ‘My Account’ under the ‘My Membership’ heading.
- Be a resident in England, Scotland, Wales or Northern Ireland.
- Be aged 18 or over.
- Keep your account details up to date.
Memberships are intended to be used for reasonable, personal use not in the course of business and may not be shared or used by more than one person. We reserve the right to review usage and may cancel accounts that do not comply with this.
Account credentials must be kept safe and not shared with any person. We reserve the right to decline to issue, withdraw or cancel Memberships at any time and we may remove an account where we consider that a Member has breached these terms.
Membership benefits
As a Friend of Fortnum's, you'll receive:
- A welcome parcel filled with more than £50 (RRP) worth of Fortnum’s items.
- Complimentary seasonal gifts up to four times throughout the year when you spend £75 or more online at fortnumandmason.com. This excludes orders with multiple delivery dates and delivery addresses, and on orders that include flowers, e-gift cards, subscriptions and fresh products (including but not limited to bespoke hampers, meat boxes, picnics and cream teas).
- Free delivery on all next day online orders and orders made in-store of £25 or more, as well as standard and named day delivery. UK delivery only. To qualify for free delivery on an order with multiple recipients, each address' order value must be over £25. Standard delivery only available to certain postcodes in Scotland & Northern Ireland - please see Delivery Information New for more details. Please note, next day delivery will be unavailable from 1st December 2025 to January 2026.
- A Member's Only gift delivered to your doorstep as a special surprise during your year of Membership worth up to £20 (RRP).
- In-store treats and surprises throughout the year – starting with complimentary drinks when you visit any of our bars and restaurants. Members are entitled to two complimentary drinks per visit seasonally (4x per year of Membership) at our coffee bar in Piccadilly, or when booking at one of our bars or restaurants. Including tea, coffee, hot drinks, beers, cocktails and single measure house label wines & spirits only.
All products are subject to availability. Members must be logged into their Fortnum’s account to receive the online benefits and present their digital or physical card in-store to redeem their in-store benefits.
Substitutions. There may be occasions where the advertised product included in the Membership offering is unavailable and you will receive a notification if this is the case. Fortnum & Mason reserve the right to make substitutions of a similar product that is the same or greater value.
Allergens. We cannot guarantee that our products are allergen free, please contact Customer Services if you have specific queries in relation to products supplied as part of the membership programme.
Payment and renewal
A Membership lasts for 12 months from the date of sign-up. Payment can be made by Credit/Debit Card, ApplePay, GooglePay and Paypal, any F&M giftcard (including Membership Gift Cards). Payment must be received by Fortnum & Mason to activate your Membership. Following receipt of payment, Fortnum & Mason will confirm acceptance by sending you an order confirmation email.
Memberships do not automatically renew, and you will need to sign up and pay again at the expiry of the 12 month term to receive another year’s Membership via your My Account page.
Membership Gift Cards can only be redeemed for Memberships subject to these Membership Terms. Membership Gift Cards should be kept safe, as lost or stolen gift cards codes cannot be replaced. We are not responsible for unauthorised use.
Right to Cancel
You have the right to cancel your Membership purchased online within a ‘cooling off’ period of 14 days from the day after purchase. If you wish to cancel your Membership, please contact Customer Service here within such timeframe. If you have received any Membership Benefits during this time, we reserve the right to make a reasonable adjustment to your refund amount. You will be refunded via the same method as you paid for your Membership.
Other Terms that Apply
Your use of our Website, access to your registered account and purchase of our goods are subject to our Website Terms and our Terms and Conditions of Sale. Full details of the information that we collect about you, and how and why we use it are set out in our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy.
Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms & Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales and are under the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts. If you live in Wales, Scotland or Northern Ireland you can bring legal proceedings and claims against us in the country in which you live. We can claim against you in the country you live in.
