Lingua Franca Avni Chardonnay Oregon, 75cl

Lingua Franca’s Avni Chardonnay reflects the cool precision of Oregon’s Willamette Valley. Founded by Larry Stone and Dominique Lafon, and farmed using organic and regenerative principles, Lingua Franca focuses on freshness, tension and site expression. Sourced from volcanic and marine sediment soils across Eola-Amity Hills and neighbouring sites, the wine is whole-cluster pressed and barrel fermented with wild yeasts. Aged 11 months in a mix of new and neutral oak, then rested further on lees, it shows mineral, citrus and white flower aromas, with lemon peel, green apple and pear layered over vibrant acidity and a clean finish.
