Herbes de Provence is a mixture of dried herbs typically used in the cuisine of southern France. There is no single formula, as the mixture can vary; this particular version includes thyme, fennel, savory, marjoram and rosemary and lavender. Herbes de Provence can be used in meat, fish and vegetable dishes alike to impart an aromatic, Mediterranean flavour.
