Fortnum's X Sloemotion Elderberry Gin, 50cl

This is the liquor equivalent of a May-December romance: a happy marriage between the elderberries that ripen in spring and autumn’s sloes. Both varieties are foraged by Sloemotion in north Yorkshire, who then steep them along with hand-picked botanicals. The resulting gin is a delicious combination of sweet fruit, tart sloe and the classic gin notes of juniper, coriander and orris root. Serve neat over ice, topped with sparkling wine as a Gin Fizz, or combine with Campari and sweet vermouth for an unconventional Negroni, aka the Sloegroni.
