Fortnum & Mason on Sea
Introducing the ultimate summer experience, Fortnum & Mason On Sea – a trio of specially-designed beach huts on the Cornish coast at Watergate Bay, featuring a celebratory menu of picnic feasts, created by acclaimed chef, author and restaurateur, Emily Scott.
Resplendent in our iconic eau de nil colour, and inspired by the nostalgia of summers spent on the British coast, each hut will be kitted out with everything required for an al fresco feast to remember.
Two picnic menus for two or four people – all presented in signature Fortnum’s wicker hampers – are available. Each menu has been lovingly created by Emily, from a delicious combination of fresh, local Cornish produce and a few of Emily’s picnic favourites from our Piccadilly Food Hall.
The very best of Fortnum’s tableware and picnicware (including a Fortnum’s tartan picnic blanket, just in case the temperatures drop a little) are also waiting to be discovered in your private beach hut – not to mention exceptional table service, courtesy of Emily Scott’s team.
And while glorious sunshine is certainly very probable, exceptional service from Emily’s team – and stunning views of the bay – are a certainty.
All that remains is to book your place, and pack your appetite. We’ll see you down at the seaside…

Do the beach huts have a dress code?
Like all traditional beach huts, there’s no dress code, although we do request that you cover up if you’re arriving in swimwear. As a general rule, we suggest coming prepared: it’s a good idea to layer up and dress for any unexpected changes in the (predictably unpredictable) British weather.
Will the beach huts be secure?
We kindly ask that you watch over your belongings. Fortnum & Mason and Emily Scott Food accepts no responsibility for any loss or damage to items left unattended in and around the beach huts.
Will Emily be there?
Sadly not: between the surging popularity of her restaurants and the launch of her new book, Time & Tide, Emily will not be in attendance at the beach huts.
