Fortnum's Douro Vinho Tinto, Niepoort, 75cl

Our Douro Tinto is produced for us by Niepoort with whom Fortnum’s has a long partnership. Niepoort has also been producing Fortnum’s range of ports since 2004, and the Dao Tinto since 2017. It is sourced from very old traditional vines, including Touriga Franca, Tinta Amarela and Rufete being prominent in this field blend, and is aged in French oak for 22 months. Producing a wine with aromas of fruits of the forest – blackberry and blackcurrant mingle with hints of graphite, spices and balsamic notes. Structured and elegant, with a long refined finish.

The wine pairs perfectly with white meats, such as turkey and chicken, grilled dishes, oily fish like salmon and sea bass, and various vegetarian options, including pasta and quiches.
