Darjeeling is known as the ‘Champagne of teas’ for its complexity and muscatel character. Grown in the foothills of the Himalayas, which are often under snow during winter, the harsh growing conditions make for slow growth which concentrates the character of the tea. The beautiful keepsake tea caddy features an elegant design of a majestic Egret, its historic home being the Himalayan foothills where Darjeeling is grown.
